Events in Oldham From 5th October – 11th October 2026

As you look for events in Oldham this week, you'll find a varied selection of opportunities, especially if you’re considering what’s on in Oldham in terms of live performances. The coming days present a compelling range of musical experiences, catering to diverse tastes. Expect evenings filled with rock and heavy metal, featuring strong vocalists and instrumentalists. Alongside these, you’ll find contemporary artists presenting a range of sounds, from melodic sets to experimental offerings on various stages. For those who prefer electronic rhythms, there are also dedicated DJ sets and hard dance sessions scheduled, promising dynamic atmospheres for late-night enjoyment. This ensures you have multiple choices if live sound is your preference. Consider how you’ll reach venues; the Metrolink and bus services offer good connections, though parking in the town centre can be limited, particularly during events. Beyond the musical offerings, you also have opportunities for cultural engagement. You can immerse yourself in theatrical productions, encompassing dramatic storytelling and musical theatre. These stage presentations offer a chance to connect with narratives and artistic interpretations that explore a range of themes. These performances often take place in accessible spaces via the M60 motorway and local rail links like Oldham Werneth railway station. Additionally, for younger residents considering their future, there's an informational event for school leavers aged 16-18. This session provides a practical chance to explore local college facilities and understand available course options, helping to guide your educational decisions. Remember that public transport is generally reliable, though the area previously experienced challenges with the steep incline of the former Werneth Incline, and peak times can be busy. The week thus offers a mix of entertainment, artistic expression, and practical guidance. Check the listings below for times and venues. Factor in potential congestion at Dovestone Reservoir if you combine an event with a visit to the area.
